In the thirty-eight years he served in the Federal Law Enforcement Organization of Guyana, he became an instrument in charting several courses for various accomplishments of the Guyana Police Force. While Griffith’s father served as a Police Commandant in charge of the Berbice County, his mother saw a need for the Police Wives of Berbice County to assist their husbands in controlling juvenile delinquency. Thus, she organized the first Police Wives Association at Police Headquarters, New Amsterdam, Berbice in 1952. The admirable traits shown by his parents helped the author in meeting the standards of the demanding world while growing up.
